Summary

Ellen Johnson works with leaders who want to grow without the overwhelm. She brings a calm, thoughtful presence to coaching — meeting you where you are and helping you chart a practical path forward.

Coaching Approach

Working with Ellen feels approachable and grounded. She listens without judgment, asks questions that matter, and walks alongside you as you build real skills and lasting change. She’ll hold you accountable in a way that feels supportive rather than harsh. Her approach is also informed by somatic coaching methods, which means she can help you generate useful insights from both your mind and your body.

Background & Experience

Ellen has spent the last five years building and running her own global coaching business, developing deep expertise in what it takes to lead effectively and create meaningful and sustained change. Before that, she worked in both a scrappy startup environment and a large established organization, which gave her firsthand knowledge of how leadership looks across different environments and scales. That range of experience informs everything she does with clients.

Credentials

Ellen holds an MS in Learning & Organizational Change from Northwestern University and is trained in somatic coaching methods through Coaches Rising. Her coaching certifications are from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Organizational and Leadership Coaching (OLCC) program at Northwestern.

Personal

When she’s not coaching, you’ll find her practicing yoga, cooking anything from Smitten Kitchen, dancing (ballet, especially), or trying to keep up with her toddler.
